Concerned about the economic storm in the financial markets. Like thousands of others, people from all walks of life are looking at a home based business. Building a home based business to make extra money is not easy despite what all the so called guru’s tell you. Many first time or inexperienced network marketers think they can make money easy online. Don’t believe the hype and lies. First, it all starts with deciding on what you are interested in that fits with what you are looking for to make extra money. There are thousands of opportunities online to choose from, so there is no shortage or rushing in at the start of some new business.
Rule # 1 - There are no free rides
My biggest pet peeve in this industry is people out there showing you how easy it is to make money easy online was for them to earn 10K a month without doing much work. I have one thing to say about that - bull! They are lying to you. Building a sold home based business to make extra money takes years to become successful. The only people that I see that make extra money in a significant way are those that have previous MLM experience and have a circle of influence. Typically you need to look at this as an investment in terms of years, not months. If you are not prepared to do the work, then I suggest you stop searching for any real home business and get a second job instead that pays by the hour.
Rule # 2 It all starts with good research on Google:
Thousands of people start a home business to make extra money without doing any real research. It is quite baffling to me why anyone would just jump on board because they heard a friend or some slick sales person pitch them on a deal. Are you really the gullable? If so, stop the insanity. Why rush into making a big decision. Here are some areas that you need to specifically research prior to starting any home business to make extra money.
Company - How long have they been in business?
Privately or Publicly owned?
Products or Services - Would you buy them strictly as a customer at retail?
Compensation Plan - how much does the company pay out?
Does the company manufacture their own products? Important that they actually do, otherwise look elsewhere.
Training and resources available - do you have to pay for those as extras?
Rule #3 Develop a Business Plan:
If you were to drive from the east coast to the west coast, would you need a road map? Of course you would. So why do you think because you started a home business to make extra money, you don’t need a business plan? Your business plan is your road map to decide on how you will execute and build a solid business. It is like the foundation of a house. If the foundation is weak, then so will be your structure. If you want to truly make extra money in your home business, then you will need to look at a budget, advertising, office expenses, staff etc. If you are not sure about business plans, go online first and read about them. Many people require a professional to assist them in this process depending on the structure of your business and how large you plan to make it.
Rule #4 - Internet Marketing - Do you know how?
Most people based on everything I have learned about advanced SEO and SEM techniques simply do not have a clue on how to market or build an online presence. They simply do not know or have been told a bunch of crap from some so called SEO experts. I have personally found my information on websites that they didn’t ask permission or worse, didn’t even give a link back to my website. The worst part is some so called SEO company ripped some person off for about $4000 to create a website and scrap information randomly from other people. I really don’t care if people want to use my information. In fact, I am humbled when they do so, but at least give a link back to the site on where you go the material from. It’s a professional courtesy.
Building a professional website is not that difficult and certainly not expensive. However, optimizing it so it gets to the top of the search engines is the challenging part. You need specific information because there are many facets to the process. In general, here are several basic guidelines to follow that will be the core of any SEO - search engine optimization part of driving your website to the top; content -write lots, linking and submitting your information all over the place.
To make extra money is not easy - period. If you want and expect success, then you will have to pay a price for that financial freedom from a JOB. There are no shortcuts, so stop listening to people that tell you otherwise. The facts are, 95% of people do not make a dime in network marketing. It’s just the facts. My final recommendation is find a good coach or mentor that will guide you through the process as you build a home based business to make extra money.
If you have been an MLM junkie and tired of jumping from deal to deal, then have a look at the new business paradigm of buying customers. This method is unlike anything you have seen. Ya, I know you have heard that a few hundred times, but the facts are, no other company that I am aware of allows distributors to buy direct customers for their business. These are not leads either. They are real customers that have bought from the company.
