The best way to make money online is first deciding what you are going to market. Next, will you have customers willing to pay retail for your product or service? In other words, to develop a long term and viable home based business, people must be willing to buy your product or service as is, without the incentive to join as an affiliate of some kind.

It may seem like common sense, but the best way to make money for your business opportunity is by being on page 1 of the search results. Sounds simple enough – right? Getting to page 1 is both an art and science known as SEO – search engine optimization.
The essence of SEO is writing original content and linking it to your website or Blog that you are trying to promote to page 1. Ya, I know many people have the magic software that can blast your article out to 100 or 1000 different blogs, but its all duplicate content and Google will not recognize them all. In fact, the single best advice I can offer is write original content for each place you post an article.
Many people will disagree with the above statement, but Google likes new and original content and will reward you better in the search results if you do one additional thing. Note, Google won’t penalize you for duplicate content, but will ignore all of the duplicate stuff except maybe 1 or 2 places.
The other important piece to getting good rankings in Google is getting back links. Not all back links are of the same quality. If you get a back link from places like Ezine articles, the seo power is much more prolific. Whereas a back link from a website that has a page rank of say 0, 1, or 2 will be less. The more quality back links, the better your rankings will be over time.
That is the 2 best pieces of advice I can offer on how to make money on the internet. Sure people will talk about having the proper domain name, meta tag etc, but that is still secondary to getting top rankings. If you want to make money, then follow the above advice and save yourself hundreds of dollars on useless software.
