Make Money a Multitude of Ways
The one thing that is constantly on the mind of every adult is how to make money. The majority of people will make money by applying for one of the many salaried 9 to 5 jobs that are out there in the corporate or public sector world. However, there are an increasing number of people who do not want the stress that such a life style entails and they may look for alternative ways to make money.
There will always be those who choose to make money by literally living off the state, either by claiming unemployment benefit should their country run such a scheme, or even choose a life living in institutions such as prisons and young offenders units. Needless to say this is not a suitable life choice for anyone who values their freedom and independence. Hopefully that is the vast majority of us!
An increasing number of people these days are choosing to make money by becoming self employed, either in an organized business using external premises or working from the comfort of their own homes.
Small cottage industries are springing up all over the place, from people selling their home grown vegetable to make money, to people who design and make craft items that they then sell at craft fairs or possibly even selling them online.
Many people are now utilizing their artistic skills to paint pictures that they then sell at art exhibitions. The list is endless. All it takes to make money in this way is a little ingenuity and a little business acumen to market and sell the products you have made.
Offline network marketing such as MLM, party plan and door to door selling have been popular ways for people to make money over the years either on a part time or full time basis. It is important to be a self starter to do this sort of work and you have to enjoy dealing with the general public. I personally have made a very nice supplementary income using a couple of these methods over the years. They can be really fun ways not only to make money but to get to know new people.
The latest craze for making money is online network marketing that can cover a multitude of possibilities that would need a blog of its own to give detailed information about. There are now many MLM companies that are focusing their marketing strategies online as well as offline. Networking is basically about getting to know people and making good contacts, these contacts will then hopefully join you in your online ventures and together you can make money.
With so many opportunities in this day and age to make money there is really no need for anyone to be claiming unemployment benefit. All it takes is a bit of effort and stickabilty and a network of like minded people to help you when the going gets tough.
Different Approaches to Make Money
So many people in this day and age are fed up of the rat race, the long commutes to work and the short holidays. There seems to be no time for pleasure and entertainment as all our time is spent working long hard hours to make money to pay the mortgage and the ever increasing household bills.
Too many people see this as the only way to make money and get on in life. Money is the most important commodity and they will do what it takes to earn more and more of it so they can have more and more consumer items. There becomes a real desperation to make money and life seems to get left behind. I have heard stories of fathers who never see their children because they work such long hours and even mothers who have to go out to work and find child minders for their children so that they can make money to enable them afford to pay the bills.
Over the years this has been my mindset. But recently after taking voluntary redundancy and subsequently early retirement, I have had the opportunity to experience an altogether different way to make money. Coupled with this I have a 30 year old son who is determined never to do a 9 to 5 job and is exploring other ways to not only make money, but also to live his life with freedom from unnecessary responsibilities and constraints.
My own experience has mainly been discovering the Internet and ways to make money by working online. There are many many ways to make money online. Big money and little money depending on your needs. These might include:- MLM, network marketing, blogging, niche marketing, training, social networking, data entry, online surveys etc to name but a few. This can be a fascinating world to work in and you can definitely find many ways to make money.
My son's search for ways to make money has been completely different. He has been prepared at times to make money by doing any job he can find. He has worked part time as a DIY man, a gardener, a part time college lecturer (doing only a few hours a week). He has also worked in return for food and lodging. The list is endless. He has lived on the equivalent of $16000 (£8,000 in the UK) a year doing part time jobs and having lots of free time to do all the things he enjoys including traveling to foreign countries. He loves his life and the desire to make money is secondary to his desire for freedom. He is a talented musician and so is able to spend time playing his guitar and piano and also composing music. He hopes one day to make money from his music but in the meantime he will make money anyway he can to enable him to have the time to do the things he loves.
This has taught me that there are many approaches possible to how to make money and unfortunately most people will only experience one of those - the safe, salaried job.
Make Money
Why do you want to make money?
Is it to quit your job? That is probably the main reason people give when talking about a home business.
Is it to supplement your current job income? Another popular reason given.
Is it to have financial freedom? A good answer.
It does not really matter why you want to make money. The fact is that in most countries we have to make money to survive.
There are a few places still today where to make money is not important as far as survival is concerned. In these places people can crop or fish enough to feed themselves and their family. They have no need for TV and video games, microwave and other electrical appliances and motor cars etc that are considered necessities everywhere except a few remote jungle areas of the globe and you must make money to be able to afford them.
There are so many ways to make money in the world today. You can have a job, a bricks and mortar business, an internet business, dividends from stocks and shares, interest from the bank or other financial institution where you have made money and deposited it to make money on money, rent from property that you own another make money from money spent in acquiring an asset. There are also many other ways to make money both legal and criminal.
A relatively new concept of what to do to make money is to buy customers. That is you buy customers of a business and then you make a percentage of what the customer purchases from that point on. This concept of you buy customers to make money evolved as an alternative to the MLM business distributors buying leads and basically failing in the MLM business. They failed to make money because they couldn't call the MLM Business leads.
The general consensus today is that we must make money to eat and enjoy some physical assets, travel and experience different cultures.
The more money you make the more you are able to enjoy buying assets. There becomes a social status when you make more money than your neighbour. Millionaires have a higher regard by people than the homeless person begging at Grand Central to make money to buy a bottle of beer. In fact begging is a good way to make money. People feel an overwhelming need to give. I think this comes from the old saying "what goes around comes around", people feel that it could be me begging as a means to make money.
